Ribbon Cutting Announcement

Springbrook Elementary School:  3:30pm

Dunn's Corner Elementary School:  5:30pm

The Town of Westerly will celebrate the completion of additions and renovations to the Dunn's Corner and Springbrook Elementary Schools with ribbon cutting ceremonies to be held on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 3:30 p.m. on the grounds of Springbrook School and at 5:30 p.m. on the grounds of Dunn's Corner Elementary School.

The project gives both schools and interior refresh with new project labs to promote collaborative learning and STEAM subjects, playground improvements, updated finishes and paint, and new fire protection systems.  Dunn's Corner Elementary School received an addition for a new cafeteria and kitchen as well as improved site circulation for parent and bus drop-off locations. Additions at Springbrook Elementary School provide and expanded media center and small group learning spaces adjacent to the classroom wing.

2025/2026 School Year 

Dear Springbrook Elementary Families,

Welcome to another exciting school year at Springbrook Elementary School! 

We are so happy to have you as part of our school community. At Springbrook Elementary School, we believe that when students and families stay connected and involved, great things happen. Learning grows when we work together—and with learning comes the confidence to reach for our goals!

Our teachers and staff are excited to be back in the classrooms, ready to reconnect with students and explore new learning adventures together. We are proud to have such a caring and committed team, and we stay focused on our mission every day:

To give every student a strong, high-quality education in a safe, respectful place that celebrates diversity and encourages lifelong learning and citizenship.

A few reminders as we start the year:

  • Electronic School Forms: All required school forms are now available electronically through your PowerSchool portal. Please take a moment to complete all forms listed under “Beginning of Year Forms.”
    • Type www.westerly.powerschool.com/public from a web browser.  You can use your phone or device to do this, but you have to open Safari, Chrome, etc. and type in the email address.
    • From the login screen, your username is your email address: (email address we have on file for you)
    • Click on "Forgot Password" and the system will email you a password reset link
    •  Find the email that was sent and click on the link provided in the email.  (If you don't see the email check your Spam folder).  
    • You will be prompted to create a new password.
    • You will now be logged in to your Parent portal account.
  • Keep Contact Information Updated: It’s important to ensure your contact details are current. You can make updates directly through your parent portal throughout the school year.
  • Address Changes: If you have a change of address, please contact the Student Registration Office directly at (401) 315-1502.
